What you’re looking at

This is the State of The Sector dashboard for Manchester Community Central, built by the VCSE Observatory for Greater Manchester State of The Sector. Each section summarises survey responses from local VCSE organisations — headline indicators first, then charts.

Area filter

• By default, Area is set to the borough covered by Manchester Community Central.
• You can widen or narrow Area, and combine with size, legal form and other filters.
• Within a filter, selecting several options means “any of these”. Across filters, selections combine (AND).
• If a combination leaves fewer than 10 organisations, it won’t apply — charts fall back to the LIO’s default areas.

Moving around

• Use the sidebar (or the menu button on a phone) to switch sections.
• Population, health & socioeconomic context — explore Greater Manchester population, health and socioeconomic indicators.
• Headline findings — modelled scale & contribution, and what organisations told us.
• Role in communities — what they do, where they operate, who they support, inclusion.
